Happy Easter!

Happy and blessed Easter to all - prayers for a wonderful day!

The Easter Vigil was just incredible last night. It was totally, 200% worth the entire three hours of pure, graced, Catholic awesomeness... from the lighting and blessing of the Easter fire, to all of the readings, to that amazing Gloria ("Gloria Dios en el cielo... Glory to God in the highest!"), to the baptisms, and of course, the pinnacle - the celebration of the Eucharist. It was amazing. It was beautiful. The music was extraordinary. The church was breathtaking, dressed up with Easter flowers (and yes, I'm hoping to go take some pics this week to share with everyone).

The most amazing part, though, is that for all its beauty, that liturgy - any liturgy - still pales in comparison to the beauty and majesty of our risen Lord.

What is there to say on this day? Death is conquered, darkness dispelled. The emptiness of the tomb has brought light to the world through the greatest sacrifice of God's great love. Love. "Love without end," as Fr. Tim put it last night - both a description of the love of Jesus, and an exhortation to love others as Jesus loves.

"Love without end."
